A scalloped brass shade over a single bulb gives this semi flush mount the look of an early American fixture, with a softer, rounder profile than a plain dome. It sits close to the ceiling, so it suits hallways, entryways and bedrooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way.

The body is metal in a warm brass finish and takes one standard E26 bulb, so you choose the brightness and color temperature. It comes in four shade shapes, A to D, from about 6 to 9 inches across.

Size guide: Semi flush mounts suit ceilings around 8 to 9 ft. Smaller shades fit closets, entryways and narrow halls, while the wider shades suit bedrooms. In long hallways, plan on one fixture about every 8 to 10 ft.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big is it?

The shade is about 6 to 9 in across and 6 to 9 in tall depending on the shape you choose, on a 5 in canopy. It sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging.

How does it install?

It mounts to a standard ceiling junction box as a semi flush fixture. We recommend a licensed electrician for the wiring.

How is it powered?

It is hardwired into the ceiling and runs off your wall switch. It takes one standard E26 bulb (not included), LED or incandescent.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free on every order across the US. Orders are processed within 0–1 business days, and a link to track your order is emailed to you within 24 hours.

Who is behind Vemillo?

Vemillo is an independent lighting shop based in Maryland, started by Noah to bring well-made lighting to real homes without the designer markup. Every email is answered personally at info@vemillo.com, usually within 1–2 business days.
