Each shade is shaped by hand into a soft, stone-like form with a textured surface, so it reads as a sculpture first and a light second. The look draws on Japanese wabi-sabi and Nordic minimalism: irregular, calm and quiet in a room.

The shade is high-density polystyrene, which keeps it light enough to hang from a single cord despite its size. A G9 bulb is included, so it is ready to use once installed. It comes in gray or white, in two shapes and four widths from 12 to 24 inches.

Size guide: Over a dining table, choose a shade about half the table's width, so a 36 in table suits the 16 or 20 in and a 48 in table suits the 24 in. Hang the bottom of the shade 30 to 36 in above a table, or at least 7 ft above the floor in an open walkway.
